Perl Development

Perl (which stands for Practical Extraction and Report Language) was one of the first, web-friendly programming languages used on the world wide web as we know it today, and has been called the Swiss Army chainsaw of programming languages with good reason. It can do a lot efficiently in very few lines of code. It's still considered one of the best server-side languages for writing code involving lots of text analysis and manipulation. Although Perl has largely been displaced by PHP Web Development, staff at Tera Bear Consulting have been doing Perl development since 1996, and have no intention of stopping now. Many times it's the right tool for the job, and there are more than a few very powerful systems on the internet that still use and depend on it.
